Adding Data Network Ports Beyond Existing CSU Baseline
The campus follows CSU cabling and network standards.
Departments may request from ITS a cost estimate for installation of services beyond the CSU Baseline. Once installed, ITS is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of these connections. Requests for additional phone service may be subject to departmental charges if the service requested is beyond the designated
* one phone per faculty/staff (.5 FTE or greater) or
* one phone per department
Cost estimates for network ports that require new cable installation will be provided within five (5) working days of the request. Typical completion of the installation is twenty (20) working days after receipt of departmental funding information. ITS will notify the department at the time of the estimate if additional time is required due to the complexity of the installation or unusual backlog of work orders.
Requests for additional network ports are initiated by either contacting the ITS Service Desk at 6-7000 or by submitting a Remedy request. These requests are best initiated via your Departmental LAN Coordinator.
